The Michigan Nanny Authority is now interviewing for the following position:
A loving family in Texas Township is looking for a Full-time Toddler Nanny for 40 hours a week!
Professional parents are looking to hire an experienced, reliable, and active Professional Nanny for their one child, a 2.5 year old boy. The Nanny will work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:15am to 4:15pm. The Nanny will be guaranteed 40 hours per week, and will always have Wednesdays off. The Nanny will start early-mid August.
The Nanny’s primary responsibility will be to provide loving, maternal care and daily structure for the family’s young child, who is smart and adventurous and loves playing with puzzles and being outside. Nanny will engage the boy in daily age-appropriate learning activities, teaching through a mix of active play and intentional learning time. She will help shape his independence by teaching life skills and finding new ways to explore and interact with the world around them. Nanny will be encouraged to plan play dates and field trips to help the boy’s social development. The family is very active and prioritizes daily outside play and physical activity, so Nanny should have youthful energy and love of adventures and active playtime.
Nanny will also be responsible for basic child-related housekeeping, including cleaning up meals, toys, and messes and doing breakfast & lunch dishes daily. Assistance with the child’s laundry may be requested on occasion.
The ideal Nanny for this family has experience working with Toddlers and Preschoolers and has a solid work ethic and history of professionalism and responsibility. She is calm and level-headed, with good critical thinking skills. She has a positive outlook on life, and emits the kind of uplifting energy that draws people to her. She is youthful, active, and has stores of energy to keep up with an active 2.5-year-old. The family would like their new Nanny to feel like part of the family, and to treat the child as if he were her own and the home as if it were her own as well. The Nanny should also be excited to join the child in learning activities, crafts, and indoor and outdoor playtime and will not rely on screen time to entertain him. She will be skilled at maintaining open, positive communication with both parents, and will cherish being the 2.5-year-old’s best friend and role model.
The family has two friendly, fluffy dogs, so Nanny should be dog-allergy-free and comfortable providing love & minimal care for the family’s beloved pets during her work day.
This position requires a long-term commitment to the family, and preference will be given to the candidate who is willing to stay for more than two years. A minimum of 1 year commitment is required. Pay will start at $12-13 per hour and Nanny will have guaranteed pay, paid time off, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, and other standard nanny benefits. Details will be discussed with qualified nannies at an in-person interview.
The right candidate:
- Will have AT LEAST two years of part- or full-time nanny experience, or at least two years in a daycare or classroom setting.
- Will have her own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old and legal to work in the USA
- Must pass a thorough background check and drug test before starting the position.
- Must have current CPR/First aid certification or agree to complete a class within 90 days of start-date.
